A RETINOL ALTERNATIVE — WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Retinol is a well-known skincare active, but it can be challenging to use. Many people experience irritation, sensitivity to sunlight, and limitations when combining it with other actives. It’s also often avoided during pregnancy.
Bakuchiol offers a different approach.
Research has shown that bakuchiol can deliver comparable skin benefits — such as improved elasticity, smoother texture, and brighter-looking skin — without the typical drawbacks of retinol. That’s why it has become such a popular choice for those seeking a natural, effective, and gentle alternative.
If you already use retinol, bakuchiol can be safely incorporated alongside it.
BAKUCHIOL 1.5% is an oil-based serum, which means it should be applied after water-based or hydrating products.
Basic use:
Apply a few drops to clean, dry skin. Use once or twice daily, in the morning and/or evening. Do not rinse off.
For best results, apply a hydrating serum first (such as HEY, GORGEOUS! or FACE IT, YOU LOVE ME), then follow with BAKUCHIOL 1.5% to lock in moisture.
You can safely apply additional products afterwards, including moisturiser or SPF.
