What is Enzymatic Bioexfoliation?
Your skin naturally sheds dead cells, but this process can be slow, leaving the surface rough, dry, or lackluster. Exfoliation helps accelerate this renewal. While mechanical scrubs remove cells through friction and acids dissolve them chemically, enzymatic exfoliation works biologically.
Enzymes in the Refiner Enzyme Cleansing Powder gently break down the “glue” holding dead skin cells together, allowing them to detach naturally. The result is smoother, fresher-looking skin that better absorbs your other skincare products.
Why Choose Enzymes over AHAs?
Both fruit enzymes and AHA acids exfoliate and smooth the skin, but they work differently. AHAs require a low pH to be effective, which can sometimes irritate sensitive or reactive skin. Bromelain, the enzyme in REFINER ENZYME, works at a gentle pH, making it a milder option for those who cannot tolerate AHAs while still providing effective bio exfoliation.
Use REFINER ENZYME as a gentle facial mask. Place a small amount of powder in the palm of your hand and add a little lukewarm water to create a smooth paste, which activates the enzymes. Apply evenly over the face and leave on for 2–3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water before the paste fully dries to avoid over-drying the skin.
For best results, use in the evening 2 times per week. If your skin is particularly rough or dull, it can be used up to 3 times per week, depending on your skin’s tolerance.
